Rocky Mountain Solo C90 Review

Ready for the road less travelled.

Built for gravel—rolls well on the road.

The Rocky Mountain Solo C90 is one of the best gravel bikes on the market. It’s slack geometry makes it handle like a mountain bike in technical terrain. It’s lightweight and responsive, which allows you to focus on where you’re headed, rather than the weight below you.

Roads like this.

The beauty of this frame is it has all sorts of bolt mounts for various bolt on bags and panniers. It also accepts a 50c tire, which opens the door to more adventurous terrain.  I used it on a few bike packing adventures this summer and was really impressed with how it handled as an overnight machine.

Lightweight and carries well.

The carbon frame is durable and responsive to the pedal stroke, yet vertically compliant on rough roads. You won’t feel beat up after a ride on this bike.

The Rocky Mountain Solo C90 is ready to explore.

Rocky Mountain offers this bike with a 1x Sram groupset, but it does have a front derailleur mount if you’d like to run Shimano.

If you’re looking for a bike that won’t limit your desire to explore, the Rocky Mountain Solo C90 will do the trick. You can read more about it here.

We offer curated small group bike adventures in the Kootenays and beyond. Drop a line if you’d like to plan a trip.
