Each winter we offer a selection of premium backcountry ski basecamp locations, and we can even customize a trip if you already have a dream destination in mind.

Itinerary
April 7, 2026- Meet at departure location in BC. Welcome dinner and meet and greet your trip companions.
April 8- Fly into camp location, set up camp, avalanche safety briefing and warm up ski.
April 9-11-Ski objectives around the camp.
April 12- Breakdown camp and fly back to Golden.
Extended program included two additional days of touring.

Description: We’ll establish a camp in a location suited for the best ski/splitboard experience possible.
1) In order to capitalize on the best conditions at the time of the trip, we keep our options open until the last minute. We’ll head where the conditions will provide the optimal ski and splitboard experience.
Our ski mountaineering course designed to hone your skiing skills in remote, heavily glaciated terrain and equip you with essential knowledge for navigating challenging environments. Here’s what you can expect to learn:
1. **Safe Skiing Skills:** Master techniques for safe skiing in remote and challenging terrain.
2. **Route Planning:** Develop expertise in route planning, allowing you to layout optimal paths through complex terrain.
3. **Glacier Travel:** Learn essential skills for navigating glaciers safely, including rope techniques, crevasse rescue, and glacier hazard awareness.
4. **Steep Skiing:** Gain proficiency in skiing on steep mountain faces, mastering techniques for controlled descents and safe ascents.
5. **Technical Ascents/Descents:** Acquire the skills necessary for technical ascents and descents.
6. **Advanced Avalanche Training:** Expand your understanding of avalanche safety with advanced training techniques, including risk assessment, decision-making strategies, and rescue protocols.
7. **Whiteout Navigation:** Develop proficiency in navigating whiteout conditions.
Our courses maintain a maximum student-to-guide ratio of 4:1, ensuring personalized attention and ample opportunity for hands-on learning. With small group sizes, you’ll receive individualized feedback and guidance tailored to your skill level, allowing you to make the most of your learning experience.
