Guided Backcountry Lodge Trips at the Burnie Glacier Chalet these are fully catered and guided trips to ensure you the best ski/splitboard experience possible. A professional backcountry cook will ensure you are properly fuelled for a week of backcountry skiing. Two Certified ACMG guides will provide you with great skiing and backcountry safety. Ten spots available per week.
This is the best guest to guide ratio you’ll get at any BC backcountry lodge—five guests to one fully certified ACMG guide. We like skiing in small groups because it provides everyone with a better experience; we think you will too.
The Burnie Glacier Chalet has a nice blend of alpine and below treeline terrain. This allows for skiing and splitboarding in various conditions. There are even great tree skiing shots that slide right back to the chalet—talk about ski in ski out accommodations!
Big glaciated terrain, a deep snowpack and long spring days will give us the opportunity to cover lots of ground and ride some amazing terrain.
The price includes lodging, guiding, catering, helicopter transport and transportation to and from Smithers, BC. *Prices are not guaranteed as operational cost may change in the next two years.
The The Stork Nest Inn in Smithers, BC is a comfortable place to stay before and after your trip to the Burnie Glacier Chalet.
