September is an incredible month to explore Chile, the days are long and the weather tends to be more stable. This allows backcountry skiers and splitboarders to top out on some of the higher peaks in the Araucanía Region.
The volcanoes that poke into the skyline offer incredible backcountry skiing and splitboarding. They also warm underground water which makes for incredible hot spring visits on rest days.
Our Chilean Backcountry Ski Road trip will take you deep into the mountains while giving you the chance to explore Chilean culture as well. This town based trip gives participants plenty of opportunities to experience the multitude of features unique to Chile!
The small group format of our Chilean Backcountry Ski Adventure allows for us to be nimble and adjust to the conditions. Four clients and one guide is a ratio that we feel is optimal for our clients experience.
We stay in comfortable accommodations in town and generally eat at restaurants at night. Occasionally, we’ll do a traditional Chilean asado at our lodging if the clients would like to experience one.
This year we’ll be heading back to the Araucanía Region to ski Lonquimay, Lliama, Sierra Nevada and Rucapillán. Book Now! Three spots available
