Backcountry Basecamps
Comfortably explore your boundaries.
Our tent based, backcountry ski basecamps will take you deep into the backcountry. Basecamps are heli or snowmobile accessed programs optimally positioned and designed to maximize your downhill time.
A remote backcountry experience, but with a daypack!
We provide heated group basecamp tents, all cooking gear, meals and can provide private sleeping tents.
Basecamps are some of the highlights of our winters. We love to explore remote zones far off the beaten path. We offer a variety of backcountry basecamps in prime backcountry locations each winter. We can also create the experience you seek if you have a location or plan in mind. Contact us for details!

Columbia Mountains Basecamp
March 3-7, 2024
Location: Somewhere in the Columbia Mountains
Description: We’ll establish a camp in a location suited for the best ski/splitboard experience possible.
We don’t disclose the destination of our basecamps for two reasons:
1) In order to capitalize on the best conditions at the time of the trip, we keep our options open until the last minute. We’ll head where the conditions will provide the optimal ski and splitboard experience.
2) Out of respect for backcountry locales, we choose not to name the places we may go on this trip. Social media and the Information Age have brought crowds to incredible places; we practice Leave No Trace principles in advertising this trip. (And at our campsite.) If you choose to join us, we ask you to please tag responsibly if post about your adventures with us and don’t #doomthespot
