The Valhalla Traverse

Guided Ski Traverse of the Valhalla Range, BC Canada
The Valhalla Traverse: West Kootenay Ski Expedition
5 Days of Remote Alpine Lines and Ski Mountaineering
The Valhalla Traverse is the pinnacle of West Kootenay ski expeditions. This 5-day, tent-based ski traverse is a challenging objective featuring massive ascents and classic alpine descents across the rugged, remote terrain of the famous Central Selkirk Mountains.
Our planned route takes you straight through the high-alpine heart of Valhalla Provincial Park. We travel through the gneiss peaks of the majestic Mulvey Basin, following the height of land all the way north to Shannon Creek near Hills, BC. This expedition is exclusively available in early April, capitalizing on longer days hours, warmer alpine temperatures, and a more deeply consolidated, stable winter snowpack.
