Revelstoke is one of British Columbia’s epicentres for powder and backcountry skiing and splitboarding. From deep to steep, this iconic mountain town has it all. With local powder stashes just outside of town to Rogers Pass in Glacier National Park and Mount Revelstoke National Park, there are endless opportunities to ride deep powder in the Selkirk or Monashee mountains. Revelstoke lives up to its reputation of being home to some of the finest backcountry ski/splitboard touring and mountaineering in the world. We were formerly based out of Revelstoke, we know it like the back of our hand and will be able to maximize your adventure.
We cater to all levels of backcountry enthusiasts. We require guests to be at least an intermediate skier/rider who is comfortable riding powder snow and be able to move through mountainous terrain.
Rates are per person per day. Ratios are 6 guests to one guide or better. If you desire a specialized experience with attention to specific details, we are happy to provide it for you.
Our AST courses get you ready to explore bigger terrain. If you’re looking to expand your skill set and improve your knowledge base then these the courses are for you. The AST 1 course gives you two full days in the mountains, while the AST 2 course gets you four and a half days of hands-on Avalanche Skills Training in the backcountry. Immerse yourself in challenging and complex terrain under the supervision of a certified ACMG guide and expand your backcountry knowledge.
AST 1 course focuses on avalanche terrain, snowpack analysis, companion rescue, navigation, and group management. Students will develop the necessary skills to travel in the backcountry and to ride epic descents safely by tuning up-tracking methods and honing their terrain assessment skills optimal ascent routes.
AST 2 course builds upon participants’ backcountry experiences by focusing on observational tools and experiential decision making.
We offer intimate group sizes taught by professional ACMG Ski Guides committed to teaching the skills required to be safe and have a blast while elevating your backcountry adventures.
