Backcountry Skiing Valhallas
The Valhalla Backcountry Experience is a small group backcountry skiing / split-boarding experience in the Slocan Valley. We provide comfortable accommodations, the option of a private cook, farm to table meals, a wood fired sauna, remote backcountry access and custom guiding, for groups of two to five people. If you’re staying in the area, we can also provide day trips.

Sample the deep powder snow for which the West Kootenays are known. From December through April, the Kootenays deliver consistent powder skiing.

- Our Slocan trips are completely custom, guided or self guided.

Accommodations
This winter we are offering a self guided option for up to eight guests.
- Main house, two queen beds, one double bed, living room, gear drying room, living room, kitchen and stretching loft, wood heat. Sleeps four.
- Tiny cabin one queen bed and one futon, sleeps 2-3 adults.
- There is a wood fired sauna for evening relaxation.
- Wifi
Price for the lodge and cabin rental is $500/night plus GST. The main house can be rented for $300/night plus GST.
A lodge custodian will stoke the wood stove and sauna for you are included in this price.

The Goods.
- Classic Descents: Classified
- Trip Length: one day
- Vertical: 1000m – unlimited. Three to five runs.
- Terrain: Below treeline to alpine, open slopes, glades, chutes, pillows, powder.
- Season: Early December – early April
- Max. Guest to Guide Ratio: 5:1
- Certified Guides: ACMG ski guides who are expert riders. Our guides have extensive local knowledge of the terrain and snowpack. They are stoked to show you a fun, safe day in the mountains.

Flexible rates depending on group size.
Rates are per person per day. If you would like to day trip or self cater, we can do that too. Just ask.
