Golden Backcountry Skiing
Golden backcountry skiing and splitboarding is as good as it gets. A quintessential ski town is nestled in the Columbia River Valley between the Purcell and Rocky Mountains, it has endless options for powder.
Whether you’re looking for a slackcountry adventure, ski touring in Rogers Pass, Lake Louise or the Icefields Parkway, Golden is in striking distance of them all.
Certified Guides: ACMG or IFMGA certified guides who are expert riders. Our guides have extensive local knowledge of the terrain and snowpack. They are stoked to show you a fun, safe day in the mountains.
Trip Length: one day-multiple
The up: 1000m – unlimited.
The Down: Three to five runs
Classic Descents: Reudi’s Ridge North, Video Peak, 8812 Bowl, Mt Rogers, Cirque Peak
Terrain: Below treeline to alpine, open slopes, glades, chutes, pillows, powder.
Season: Early December – early April
Max. Guest to Guide Ratio: 6:1
Cost: Starting at $200per person
We cater to all levels of backcountry enthusiasts. We require guests to be at least an intermediate skier/rider who is comfortable riding powder snow and be able to move through mountainous terrain.
Rates are per person per day. Ratios are 6 guests to one guide or better. If you desire a specialized experience with attention to specific details, we are happy to provide it for you.
